The September 22, 2006 meeting of the Georgia CU Office Administration Council was kicked off by Nakia Gaylord, Director, Administrative Services of Georgia Central Credit Union, presenting CUboardroom software, a secure web-enabled communication channel of delivering board material. Created by SmartSource, LLC, CUboardroom provides credit unions with the optimal environment for efficient, organized meetings using advanced information technology. In addition to working as a storehouse for key documents, CUboardroom can be used as a discussion forum and even allows for electronic participation in board meetings for directors unable to attend in person. For further information relative to CUboardroom, please contact Nakia Gaylord at Georgia Central Credit Union (nakiag@gacentral.org).
Following lunch, Dr. Randy Gregg of Corporate Performance Resources addressed the attendees on the topic of “How to Stay Cool, Calm & Collected and Work as an Administrative Professional.” Stress affects the body and health, as well as one’s emotions, mental well-being and spiritual outlook. Meeting participants were asked to identify sources of personal stress and to take a look at the manner in which tension can build up. Finally, a process of neutralizing stressors was outlined. For further information about topics Dr. Randy Gregg has developed for presentation to your credit union, visit the website for Corporate Performance Resources (www.1cpr.net) or email Dr. Gregg at info@1cpr.net.
